Tattoo artist at True Colours, Preston. Custom pieces, cover-ups done properly, and walk-ins when there's a gap.
I'm Caitlin Carney, a tattoo artist at True Colours in Preston. I take on custom pieces, and cover-ups and reworks of tattoos that didn't turn out the way they should.
Most of my clients come from Preston and around Lancashire. You'll find me at the studio on Guildhall Street, next to the Guild Hall in the city centre.
Before 2026 I tattooed as Caitlin O'Brien, so you may have seen my work under that name.
Walk-ins are welcome when I have a gap. Ring the studio on 01772 378565 on the day to check.
Small pieces have a minimum charge, and larger custom work is priced by the session. Send me the idea and I'll give you a clear price before you pay anything.
Yes. Send a clear photo of the old tattoo in daylight and tell me what you'd like instead. Some old tattoos need a session of laser fading first, which the studio also offers.
Often, yes, for small pieces. Ring the studio first on 01772 378565 to check I have a gap that day. Custom work is always booked in advance.
Yes. The deposit holds your appointment and comes off the final price. It's non-refundable if you cancel at short notice.
Eighteen, with photo ID on the day. That's the law in the UK, with no exceptions for parental consent.
I'll go through aftercare with you at the end of your session and send you home with written instructions. In short: keep it clean, keep it moisturised with a thin layer, and keep it out of the sun and out of baths and pools for two weeks.
One friend is fine. The studio is a working space, so big groups aren't.
